“Above all else guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life.” (Proverbs 4:23)

First, our heart is the center of our emotions, intellect, and human will.  So it must be guarded (protected) from anything that will influence it negatively. Secondly, out of it flows the issues of life, meaning our total being and quality of life.  Remember as a man thinketh (intellect) in his heart,  so is he.

The quality of life is not how much we have or even what we accomplish.  It really is the quality of our heart,  for out of our emotions what we think and what we do determines who we become.  Guard your heart!
